Chapter 2 the enemy rising

My eyes opened slightly to a horrifying sight. All I could see were flames surrounding me, with smoke coving the sky and suffocating my lungs. My lungs were so filled with smoke causing me to cough vigorous times, but my last cough caused blood to exit out of my body. I had no choice; I had to find out what was going, so I forced my body through the flames to find the entire barracks ablaze.

"Guys! Guys!" no answer anywhere. I ran from the barracks to search for the others. Everywhere I looked there were flames spreading across the area. Flowers, trees, and plants turning into ashes. What could have happened here?

I finally came across shifu, but he was on the ground with blood spilling around him." Master! Master! Come on, open your eyes please!"

Still no answer.  Th-this couldn't be happening. He was dead. My master was dead. Anger started arose in my body and I was ready to attack the monster who committed this. I busted through the gates and ran down the 1000 steps.

When I came down I could see the entire valley on fire as well." Dad!" The thought of my father being in the same shape as shifu horrified my thoughts. I made to the noodle shop, but could not find my father." Dad, Dad!" I called his name, hoping to hear his voice, but nothing. I had searched through the entire shop and building trying to locate my adoptive father. There was still no answer. Could he have been…

"AHHHHH!"

I heard a scream coming from the town's road. As I ran out the shop I saw something that almost completely stopped my heart rate.

"GUYS!"

Viper, monkey, mantis, and crane were surrounded in rubble with their bloods exiting their bodies." No. n-no." was all I could say.

I then heard a maniacal laugh coming from the darkened flames. The figure started coming closer and closer, allowing me to see who it was.

"Long time no see po. How's life been treating you?" the figure said, revealing to be po's old friend.

"N-nabu. Is that you?"

"Oh yes po. Here I think this is yours." Nabu said pulling his arm from the fire.

"No. you didn't!"" oh yes. I have." The gorilla said revealing that he was grasping tigress in his hand with blood coming from her mouth and stomach. Nabu then dropped tigress to the ground and walked closer and closer to me. "Now it's time you died po."

He grabbed my furred chest and suddenly his paws were emitting a dark chi that burned through my furred skin.

"GRAAAAAHHHHH!!!!"

END OF P.O.V

The giant panda gasped from his horrid nightmare. He searched through his room and saw nothing on fire.
Po's thoughts:" a dream, just a *gah*" before he could finish his though a shocking pain came to his chest. He gazed down to see his chest having a burned mark on it." J-just like my dream."

He arose from his bed and headed to the infirmary. In there he found a bandage and patched up the mark. Before he knew it the gong rang loud.

Po ran back into the barracks to greet his master along with the other. By the time he made it the others have already greeted him.

Shifu:" panda, any reason why you're not in your room?"

Po:" oh I uh, just got up and had to head the kitchen for water."

The red panda then notices the patch on his chest." And what happened to your chest."

Po:" oh clumsy me. I tripped over in the kitchen and cut myself."
Monkey:" Is you okay."

Po:" yeah just fine."

Shifu:" right. Anyway, Have your breakfast and prepare to train."

The five and po:" yes master." They said bowing

The five then walked out of the barracks, except for po, who was stopped by shifu's crutch.

Shifu:" po, I need you to go down in town and purchase some supplies for the week. Here's some yuan."

Po:" y-yes master."

The giant panda stated walking down the stars while the others trained in the courtyard. The dream that haunted po still lingered through his mind and how he received the same mark from it. With something like this po would have spoken to master shifu, but he didn't want to worry the red panda.

By the time afternoon came po returned back to the palace with supplies as high as him. Walking slowly to balance the food he dropped all the supplies on the kitchen table.

Po:" ahh finally, now for some training." He said running to courtyard to head to the training room, but suddenly he halted to the sight of an avian coming towards the palace. From what po could see the bird was flying lazily until…

BAM

The bird fell before po's knees. It had turn out to be Jin the owl, with bruises on his torso and wings, breathing heavily with his gaze on po.

Po:" wow hey are you okay! What happened to you?"

Jin:" I-I n-Needs to see –m-m-Master Shifu, im-immediately." He pleaded before becoming unconscious.

Wasting no time he shoulder picked jin up and ran to search for master shifu.

IN THE TRAINING ROOM

Shifu:" good, excellent." The red panda said commenting on his students work out

BAM

Po:" master shifu, master shifu!" he yelled running down the stairs with jin on his back."

Shifu:" panda was is this boasting abo-"he suddenly stopped in mid- sentence when seeing the owl.

Po:" he needs helps master."

14 MINUTES LATER

Po, shifu, and the five were in the infirmary along with jin resting on a bed with gauze around his wounds.

Viper:" master shifu, do you know this owl?"

Shifu:" yes, this is master jin from the valley of courage. What could he be doing here?"

Mantis:" and what do you think could have happened there that did this to him?"

Shifu:" well we will know when he awakens. Until then no one interrupts him."

Po and the five:" yes master."

Suddenly the wounded owl started to moan around, his eyes slowly opening to the master and students eyeing him." M-master shif-ahh" he screamed causing his wounds to open.

Shifu:" easy master jin, Your wounds have not healed properly yet. Just tell what happened."

Jin:" The..the crimson palace was invaded."

Shifu:" by whom?"

Jin:" by a gorilla, calls himself nabu."

Po's thought shot tenfold from the sound of that name." n-no it couldn't be."

Jin:" He stormed in the palace and stolen the crimson orb."

Shifu:" WHAT!"

Po:" wh-hold it, what's the crimson orb."

Shifu:" first of all it's the crimson orb of infinite strength. It is similar to the jade orb of infinite power, but can give the wielder massive strength to the body."

Jin:" yeah… and that's not the worst part."

FLASHBACK TO YESTERDAY
Nabu dashed through jin and cho and bashed through the entrance. Before the owl and leopard could stop him they were surrounded by the ninja jackals.

Cho:" you stop the gorilla, I'll handle the lackeys."

Jin:" gotcha." He said flying into the palace.

Nabu smash through all the relics in search of the crimson orb. He makes his way down the palace, almost inches away from his objective jin swoops in and takes down nabu.

Jin:" if you think you're stealing from here, you are dead wrong."

Nabu:" a pity threat master jin." He said charging at the owl throwing two fists that made impact.

Recoiling from the blows jin retaliates with his sharpened wings, slashing down the gorilla swipe after swipe, but then nabu managed to grab a wing and tossed jin across the room onto a wall. Jin recovers from the attack and expands his wings across, channeling his chi on his feathers he lashed out chi enhanced feathers aimed at nabu. The gorilla manages to dodge the first 5 but soon after he was being impaled by them.

Nabu:" grrr, impressive. Should have known I'm dealing with an ordinary warrior." He said removing the sharpened feathers from his body." of course, you yourself are not dealing with an average warrior." He said emitting dark chi from within. Nabu blasted his chi directly at jin. The chi caused jin to tremble down to knees, becoming weaker and weaker from it.


Nabu:" now let's see what you know." He said manically grabbing hold of jin's forehead and entering his mind." Ahh there." He dropped jin body, and then retrieved the crimson orb.

JIN'S POINT OF VIEW

I finally awoken from my unconscious state, still weakened from the essence of dark chi, but I had to keep moving.

I stumbled my way through the door and found something most shocking. Nabu has just created some sort of dark chi ball and was preparing to blast it at cho, whom was still fighting the ninjas. "CHO!!!"

But it was too late. The blast cho and suddenly his body started too disappeared within it. I couldn't believe cho was…gone." y-you bastard!" I was in full anger. All I could think of taking that gorilla down. But I was unfortunately defeated when grabbed a hold of my neck and started strangling me.

At this point I was for sure he was going to kill me, but loosened his grip and whispered "the only reason I'm letting you live is to send a message to the jade palace. Tell them I'm coming soon." He then dropped me to and suddenly disappeared along with the remaining ninjas in dark chi.

"cho…"

END OF FLASHBACK AND P.O.V

Jin turned his gaze at the masters and could see they were all awestricken.

Shifu:" so master cho is no more."

Jin:" unfortunately yes, but I'm afraid that isn't the worse either. I believe he's after the other orbs as well."

Po:" wow wow, wait the other ones?"

Jin:" yes dragon warrior, the other ones. The golden orb of infinite skill, which lies in the valley of hope, and the sapphire orb of infinite wisdom, that lies in the valley of will."

Shifu:" this… is most unpleasant. Tigress I want you to retrieve zeng while you others will go back to your training."

The five and po:" yes master." They said walking out of the infirmary.

Jin:" so what should we do now shifu?"

Shifu:" hold that thought." He said exiting the room.

At that time shifu found two unused scroll and started writing on them. By the time he was done zeng, the goose messenger, took the scrolls and flew from the valley. Shifu then returns to the infirmary to see jin.

Shifu:" alright, I just sent a scroll to the valleys of will and hope explaining what is occurring. They should retrieve it before nabu arrives there.

Jin:" but shifu. What if… he also tries to take the dragon warrior's-"

Shifu:" NO" he argued." I will not let that occur. Besides only high masters know about it."

Jin:" and you are absolutely sure that nabu doesn't."

There was a short awkward silence in the room. The two pondered if the gorilla knew.

Shifu:" very well. I will make sure that po will be safe him."

Jin:" how?"

Shifu:" don't worry. I'll handle it."

MEANWHILE IN THE TRAINING ROOM

Mantis and were sparing with one another for combat practice. They others just watched the two

Monkey:" do you think this nabu is strong as master jin says."

Mantis:" don't know, but I'm sure we'll be prepared if he showed his ugly face." The insect then notices po sitting in the corner alone, being quiet. For once." Hey po, you okay."

Po:" huh, oh, yeah just swells, why?"

Monkey:" well you haven't said much since jin's arrival."

Crane:" and you have been distant."

Tigress:" po, is everything okay?"

Po:" of course tigress. I just.. thinking about how we're going to take him down."

Monkey:" don't worry. We'll take him down."

Po:" yeah okay." He said reassuring his friends and girlfriend. But truthfully that wasn't what he was worried about. What was lingering in his mind was much deeper.
